Customer service and the cashier were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and nice. Check outs were both fast and easy. I recommend John Brooks over Walmart ANY DAY!!!

John Brooks may not meet everyone's standard for an excellent store, but it does mine. The store is always clean and well-stocked. The meat is fresh and excellent quality. The vegetables and fruit are decent; and the bakery is SUPERB!

Impressed with this grocery store. You can tell they try to make it an upscale experience. Mostly focus on southwest based foods but that makes sense in Socorro. Last weekend I went to Walmart, but frankly like this experience better. Just wish it was larger to allow more choices.

NM Staple! Our small town grocery store, complete with bakery & butcher. Delicious hot deli selection! Best donuts in town. Go to for organic and free range. Amazing wine & spirits section. Friendly & helpful, my favorite store in town!

Nice little retro-vibe grocery store with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Be sure to check out the coin operated kiddie rides.

Really good little store for such a small town. Good variety and exceptional service. They even offer organic options and a nice selection of produce. Glad we found them during our stay as not many of the restaurants in town were particularly vegetarian/vegan friendly.

VERY impressed with this grocery store! Extremely well organized, neat and very clean. It's obvious that employees work hard. Good variety of items, prices reasonable. Employees welcoming and friendly. Easy in and out parking. On a side note(not a criticism), store is carpeted! And it's very clean. Looks great.

Employee's are friendly & helpful. Great selections of what ever you may need. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend! Stay out of Walmart, shop here!!!

John Brooks has real butchers; men in butchers jackets who operate saws and knives, cutting meat. You can get a specific cut and thickness of steak, bone, or organ. There's no competition here for that.

The beef is good. Im glad socorro has John Brooks. Walmart meat isn't right.
